ProForm 690 LT Treadmill

LOVE IT5

I absolutely love this machine! It arrived in one piece and assembly was relatively easy! My best friend also ordered this machine and it did arrive damaged but was replaced quickly. I however had no problems and took off running.

The features are great and you feel like you are at the gym without paying for gym memberships and you can watch what you want on TV in the comfort of your home. I did a lot of research as to what model to buy and I highly recommend this product.More detail ...

ProForm Crosswalk 8.0 Elliptical Trainer

ProForm 8.0 Crosswalk Elliptical4

It's a crosswalk not a real elliptical (even at 22" strides position the "step elevation" is about 8"). If you like consistent stepping it's not appropriate.

It shows a good and sturdy construction for the price. The main crank is supported by sealed bearings (important): what a pity the other moving parts are supported by (noisy) bushings otherwhise the rate would be 5/5.

It's not as compact as the advertisement would suggest (46" x 36" footprint): the real working area is about 36"W x 74"L and the weight (nearly 200lb) makes it difficult to move from the working area (2 persons are necessary or a tool to lift it).

It was a good buy from "iFitnessDirect" (free shipping and fast delivery): no problems.

ProForm Activator V7 Vibration Training Machine

Sturdy well built and effective5

I also purchased this machine using Costco online for $399.00/free shipping in early Jan. There are a few reasons for purchasing this machine in particular. One the price is outstanding. Two a much larger base for standing and three the adjustable weights. There are three different mhz levels 25 30 and 35. I've been pretty consistently using the 30mhz setting and find this very adequate for me. I've been using it every other day since purchase and find that my clothes are already looser and my muscles don't hurt as much and I have much more flexibility at my core. The larger base on this machine allows me to sit on it and stretch out my spine and legs with great ease. Sit ups are much more comfortable on this base as well. I am a massage therapist working with my chiropractor husband in our practice and we've both been very actively researching the benefits of Vibrational therapy (wave therapy) in our fields. Some of these machines range in the $20000+ category without much difference than this $399.00 machine. We purchased this for our home to test it out before putting one in our practice. So far as I've stated I have seen tremendous results. I am especially excited about my wrists and hands as well as my shoulders not hurting since I've been using the Proform Activator. My husband has a slight right knee issue and it has been very nicely resolved since using this machine. I would also like to mention that although we get much information sent to us on many vibrational products and their uses the most helpful information I found was on youtube. I just typed in Proform Activator and found some information and then typed in vibrational excercise machine etc.. and tons of very relevant information popped up. If you are researching these machines youtube is a good place to start. I will be purchasing another Proform Activator for my practice since I can't possibly give up the one I have now. It is stable and well built with a large enough base for almost all of our patients to get benefit from. The three speeds is a big plus and I forgot to mention that as well as the three speed settings there are also three different time settings...30 45 and 60 second intervals. Very nice indeed. GOT TAKEN1

Product arrived scratched and cracked. It wouldn't start. The individuals at the phone number at the service center would not assist me even holding for over 25 minutes. I've paid for this piece of equipment and it will continue to gather dust remaining inoperative. I'VE BEEN HAD!

Proform 330 Elliptical Trainer

Ellipitcal Review2

We recently purchased the Proform 330 Elliptical Trainer for home use by my wife and me. This is the 3rd machine I have purchased from Proform over the past 10 years. Overall this machine is the best of the three although it is far from perfect. But before I describe the "negatives" for this product let me start with the "positives".

The price of the machine is unbeatable. For $300 you cannot go wrong. Even if it is worn into the ground in 2-3 years it is economial to simply buy a new one. This model is eqipped with a solid control panel as well as a fan. For the most part it is light and easy to move around. It seems more durable that the two machines I purchased in the past. The sole purpose of this machine is to work out 4-5 times a week for 30 minutes each time. It fits our needs perfectly and it didn't break the bank.

There are some drawbacks to this machine. It is very noisy. Since it is made primarily of plastic it makes loud creaking noises during use. It's not a squeaking sound as if it needs lubricant but it creaks at the joints. I suggest playing your ipod on loud to drown out the noise and waiting for your spouse to wake up before the god-awful sound wakes them up! The hand bars are connected to the base only by tightning knobs that seem to always come loose and slide down during use. The overall durability of this machine is weak and I can tell it will likely not live past 3 years.

Overall this machine gets the job done. I work out regularly and it has helped me lose much weight. I could have spent >$1K on a steel machine but I didn't want to make that large of an investment. Although this product has its faults for the price it cannot be beat. I would recommend buying one if your needs for the machine are similar to mine. As long as you don't expect too much and all you want is a machine to help lose weight and build muscle it is certainly worth the $300. If you want a machine that has the durability of the ones you find at top-noth fitness centers this is not for you.
